Buffalo Ridge Golf Course - A Family Tradition

Construction of Buffalo Ridge began in 1964 and the grand opening occurred in August 1966 as the only golf course in Kearney.  It has remained in one family for three generations and pictured at left are the managers throughout that period Cliff Fox, Steve Rosse and Ron Fox.  Steve and his lovely wife Pam are the current managers.

The course is surrounded by farmland and new home developments.  It is on the northeast side of the City of Kearney, less than 2 miles from center of the city.

The clubhouse was built in 1997 and has become a place to join friends and family after a day of golf on this wonderful course.  Food, soft drinks, adult beverages a large dining area for parties are available within  a friendly atmosphere.

The layout of Buffalo Ridge affords a challenge to golfers at every skill level.  You will find long par 3's along with difficult par 5's and par 4's requiring the ability to "work the ball."  Fifteen sand traps are strategically positioned around the tree-lined course to increase your golfing challenge.   The large putting green is readily available to work on your ugly stick.  A modern driving range was recently opened where you can work on your irons and woods.

You may ride or walk the course.  Rental pull carts and riding gas carts are available.  Restrooms, benches and a shelter are positioned on the course for your comfort.

The City of Kearney is a town bringing together the old and new.  The downtown area provides unique shopping within buildings of the past.  The north side of town  provides new shopping areas, including a modern mall and many other outlets.  Excellent restaurants and hotels abound, as Kearney is the home of the University of Nebraska at Kearney  and local businesses cater to the many, many visitors and students.  Plan your stay and join us at the friendliest golf facility in the mid-west, Buffalo Ridge Golf Course!
